Undergraduate Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University is a scientific educational institution established on the initiative of the community and approved by the Government. The initial idea of ​​establishing this study program was to realize the wishes of community leaders who wanted to contribute independence and progress to Indonesia. In addition, the Development Economics Study Program provides services in the field of research and community service as a manifestation of the role of the study program in improving the quality of life of the community. The success of this tridharma is measured by the accreditation score of the Study Program.

Historical Stages of Development Economics S1 Study Program, as follows:

1. In 1985 the Department of Economics and Development Studies (IESP) was opened based on an operational permit from Kopertis Region III with letter no. 16/Kep/S/V/1985.
2. In 1987 the Department of Economics and Development Studies obtained the “REGISTERED” accreditation status for the Undergraduate program based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 0213/O/1987 dated 11 April 1987.
3. In 1992 the Department of Economics and Development Studies received an increase in accreditation status from “Registered” to “RECOGNIZED” based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Depdikbud No. 165/DIKTI/Kep/1992 dated 2 April 1992.
4. In 1993 the Department of Economics and Development Studies obtained the “DISAMAKAN” accreditation status based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Depdikbud No. 494/Dikti/Kep/1993 dated 16 August 1993.
5. In 1998 the Department of Economics and Development Studies obtained Accreditation status with quality “B” with certificate number: 00437/AK-1.1/UTCIEP/VIII/1998.
6. In 1999 the Department of Development Economics obtained Accreditation status of A (very good) with No. Certificate series: 0012/AK-III/UTC/XI/1999, based on the agreement of the Indonesian National Conference of the Department of Economics in January 2006 stated that the name of the IESP Department was changed to Economics, since then the IESP Department has used a new name to become the Department of Science Economics (IE) based on Chancellor’s Decree No.: 283/USAKTI/SKR/X/2006 dated 6 October 2008.
7. In 2004 the Economics Study Program first received accreditation status as “A” (very good) with No. Certificate Series: 07-19/Ak-VIII-S1-054/-UTCIEP/XII/2004.
8. In 2009 the Development Economics study program again maintained its accreditation with an “A” grade based on the Decree of the Head of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education No. 017/BAN-PT/AK-IX-S1//2010 which is valid until September 2, 2015.
9. In 2015, on June 26 to be exact, the Development Economics Study Program re-accredited its status. Based on the Decree of BAN PT Number: 773/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VII/2015 dated 10 July 2015 the Development Economics Study Program continues to maintain Accreditation “A” (Excellent) with a score of 368 which is valid until 10 July 2020.
10. In 2019, the Development Economics study program carried out Re-Accreditation again on January 17 2019 and again received an “ A ” accreditation score based on SK BAN PT No.2027/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VI/2019 dated June 25 2019 which is valid until June 25, 2024.
11. In 2020, Development Economics Study Program took part in AUN-QA certification and in May 2021, received AUN-QA certification based on Warek I Notification Letter No. 274/AU.00.18/USAKTI/WR.I/V/2021 with an Adequate score as expected.
