The Development Economics Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Trisakti University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, held an internal seminar entitled “Accelerating the Village Economy Through Digital Transformation” on Thursday, June 4, 2026. This hybrid event was held in the Auditorium of Building S, 8th Floor, FEB Trisakti University, and was attended by lecturers and students of the Development Economics Undergraduate Program.

The event was opened by the Dean of FEB Trisakti University, Prof. Dr. Yolanda Masnita Siagian, M.M., CIRR., CMA., CPM. She emphasized the crucial role of digital transformation in driving sustainable village economic development and growth.

The seminar featured Fadel Ismail, S.E., M.E., a Junior Expert Planner at the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions. In his presentation, he explained that digitalization can help villages improve access to information, expand marketing of superior products, and optimize the management of local economic potential.

Furthermore, the use of digital technology is also considered capable of increasing the competitiveness of village businesses, opening up new economic opportunities, and supporting more transparent and effective village governance.

The discussion session was interactive, with various questions from participants regarding the implementation of digital transformation in villages, human resource readiness, and the challenges of equal access to technology.

Through this seminar, the Development Economics Study Program at Trisakti University’s Faculty of Economics and Business hopes to broaden students’ understanding of the role of digital transformation in village development and encourage innovations that support regional economic progress.
